When I was at my LYS a week or two ago I lunged at this yarn in colorway mossbank. I bought 10 hanks. At first I thought I might make yet another sweater but now I think I might knit up a throw blanket. This is the first yarn I’ve purchased in a long time without a pattern in mind. I was thinking maybe a gansey patterned throw but this yarn is so pretty I might stick with something simple. Maybe this Hip to be Square blanket?
I am feeling a little better but I tire easily.
Who wants to go on a knitters trip to Shetland?
2020 might be ambitious, but maybe 2021?
Hi, I clicked on the link and it seems that the spaces are all gone for 2020, I’ve checked some other tour guide options and they also all look booked for 2020. I think it would need to be 2021, but I’d be up for it.

That would be great! I’ll keep my eyes peeled for 2021 dates.

Yes, I think gansey would get lost with that yarn. I’d be swatching like mad to see what it wanted to be, that’s still an interesting knit.

I think that blanket would be perfect. I’m going to be on the lookout for that yarn now. I would love to go to Shetland. If I win the lottery I will join you. When I start working again I’ll start travelling again.

That yarn is lovely and the Shetland trip sounds great. One day I might have some money to travel, but in the meantime I have to be content with dreams.

Me me me! Yes, I could just hop over to Shetland myself, but how much more fun would it be with some never-met-in-person-before friends!

I hope we make this happen!

That will make a beautiful blanket! Really lovely yarn, and it should shine in a nice straightforward pattern like Hip to be Square 🙂 Shetland in 2021 sounds amazing!
