1. The extreme blocking worked wonders on the Getting Warmer cowl (Rav link). I sent a photo to the silent auction winner and she loves it. It is heading to Indiana this week. Yarn is Kenyan merino that I kettle dyed with acid dyes in vermillion. I will probably make another one for myself eventually.
2. I attended my first Rust Belt Fiber Shed meeting tonight. It was a meeting of natural dyers. It was awesome.
3. My friend James started a new podcast for people who want to learn how to podcast. He’s a genius. Listen here. I will listen and then maybe I will understand what to do with The Just Craft.
4. I will be attending the Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival with Sarah and friends! I bought my plane ticket today! I don’t have any local knitting friends to go to fiber shows with. Isn’t that sad? I have local friends but none I would subject to a day weekend long fiber event. So I am saving up for Wisconsin!
5. I’m adding another KAL to my rotation. Magpie Fibers is hosting a Beav-a-long! 🤣 Learn more here.
IRL? I’m sure it’s obvious – but not to me! Please translate –

I really should have said local. It’s not like we aren’t friends IRL just because we haven’t met in person. I’ll edit it.

The cowl is beautiful! The podcasting podcast is a great idea – I have been thinking about doing a podcast, but not sure about it. You guys are going to have so much fun 🙂

Oh that cowl is much bigger than I expected and its fabulous. I love the colour too. I need to save that pattern for future as I like it covering the shoulder.

The cowl is beautiful!
I think traveling to spend time at a fiber festival with likeminded people makes perfect sense:)

A lot of fun stuff going on, Alissa. The cowl is perfect! How great that you can go to a festival with Sarah! I haven’t been in a yarn shop in over a year. I did not know you had a podcast. I look forward to listening to yours and James’. I found the information about the beav-a-long very funny. There are GORGEOUS yarns on that site!

Gorgeous cowl. You look so pretty and happy in the photo.
I am a little shocked that you already bought a plane ticket to WI. I guess it is happening.
