YOP Lang Syne

And with that, I will cease inserting “YOP” into the titles of carols.

I started the Vertices Unite KAL that Sarah is hosting. It’s a super fun knit!

I’ve cut out my first Logan Shacket in this gorgeous plaid heavy flannel from deep stash. I didn’t have enough for the pockets, so I may see if I can find a solid cotton flannel that will suit.

I took my spinning wheel class, and I’m improving. I’m going to practice for 15 minutes every evening.

This has been a Year of Projects update. You can find out more about the group here (Rav link) or here: Backstage Kath’s YOP bloggers list. You can read my updated list of projects here.

  1. I’m going to miss YOP in carols. Could you maybe add it to pop songs? All of your projects looks great. I am so happy you got a wheel (yes, it makes me wheely happy). I’m looking forward to spinning with you someday.

  2. How do find out about KAL’s or CAL’s? I never hear about them until they are in progress and I’ve missed the boat! LOL! I need to find my Chrome Book so I can Zoom with some group somewhere….I can’t find it. The shawl is lovely in the yarn you chose. I’ve added spinning and spinning wheel to my bucket list…how could I have forgotten? Your plaid material is gorgeous! I can’t wait to see the end product. Where do you get your yarns…I want to buy them as I love all the yarns you use. Especially the red one on the left of blog…..gorgeous! Happy New Year!

    1. Well, I read my blogs religiously, and Sarah at mildlygranola is the one who started the Vertices Unite KAL. I know you should be able to find some KALs on Ravelry as well. Yarn… The red yarn that I made my Ranunculas with was from The Fibre Co. I purchased it directly from them, but they no longer carry the aran weight. They do however have this color in fingering weight. Here is the link: https://thefibreco.com/product/arranmore-light/ The color is Ruari. I also buy yarn from natural dyers. My Vertices Unite yarn is naturally dyed, from Oysters and Purls and Forest Lane Fiber Co. I found out about them through the Botanica Festival. I am trying not to buy yarn right now, which is hard, but I guess my question for you would be what kind of yarn do you like?
