Sock it to Me Krampus

Krampus was sure to get his licks in today. I had four fillings replaced. The good news is I stopped by Trader Joe’s on the way home to pick up a rosemary tree so I can make gluten-free rosemary shortbread, and they had gluten-free Candy Cane Joe-Joe’s in stock! I bought two boxes. I guess I’ve been good this year after all.

We are watching Rare Exports with our Krampus gingerbread to take a bite every time a character does. I’m knitting on my Merry Krampus socks. We might watch Krampus after or A Christmas Horror Story.

Happy Krampusnacht!

Happy Krampus Night!

Tonight is Krampusnacht. While we don’t celebrate officially, we marathon Krampus movies with a finale of Rare Exports and play the gingerbread game where we take a bite of gingerbread every time a character does.

This year we’re munching julbok (Yule Goat) cookies in honor of Krampus, but next year I’m planning to use a Krampus cookie cutter.

We are celebrating Krampus Night because it’s fun. Do you have any fun new traditions you are celebrating during the holidays this year?

Holiday Traditions

Spritewrites.net has a Virtual Advent Tour where different bloggers sign up to share their holiday traditions during the season. I signed up for Christmas Eve!

Last night all the boys and I watched Rare Exports. I have blogged before that this is my favorite holiday movie. This year I made gingerbread and we played a “drinking game” where we took a bite of gingerbread every time a character did. I only ate three cookies, but could have easily eaten four. I was reserved.

I weighed myself today. I haven’t gained any weight even though I haven’t exercised in two weeks and I’ve been eating whatever I want. It’s a Thanksgiving Miracle! Back to the gym today.

Oh so grateful for my boys. It was good to hang out with them last night.
